Ellie is a 2023 bay filly by Passing Glance out of Flutter Bye, by Alflora, trained by Fergal O’Brien for Emris Racing. She is a 100% GBB-registered National Hunt prospect from a deep staying family, with Passing Glance already known as the sire of high-class performers including Dashel Drasher, Strong Leader and Millers Bank. Her pedigree brings together proven National Hunt quality and strong family depth. She is a half-sister to Grade 2 runner-up Blue Beach, out of a four-time placed mare who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner I’msingingtheblues, and comes from the family of Grand National and Irish Grand National winner Numbersixvalverde. Purchased at the GoffsGo Late March Sale, Ellie was described by bloodstock agent Jerry McGrath as a forward-looking filly with a “good old-fashioned English staying pedigree”. Emris Racing are excited by her quality, pedigree and GBB status, with the aim of developing her towards three-year-old bumpers or National Hunt junior hurdles this year.
