Rix Racing is the new ownership syndicate from Newmarket trainer Oli Rix, based at the historic Bedford House Stables on Bury Road. Oli has learnt his trade with some of the best in the world, including Chris Waller in Australia and Andrew Balding, Hughie Morrison, Hugo Palmer and Roger Varian in the UK, before starting out on his own at Bedford House.
The aim is simple: a tight-knit group of owners, high-quality bloodstock, and proper time with the trainer. Shares are limited so that everyone involved can feel close to the horse, the yard and the decision-making, rather than just a name on a long email list.
What you'll enjoy as a syndicate member
As a Rix Racing owner, you can expect:
- Regular yard updates – video, voice notes and written reports on your filly’s progress from Oli and the team.
- Stable visits – organised mornings at Bedford House Stables to see her on the gallops and meet the team.
- Owners’ badges on raceday – access to Owners & Trainers areas when she runs, plus paddock and pre-parade ring access where possible.
- Transparent finances – purchase price, sales race entry, pre-training and the first year’s training and maintenance fees are all covered within the £3,000 share price, with prize money and any future sale proceeds paid out pro-rata after syndicate expenses.
- Like-minded syndicate members – a small group of owners sharing the journey from first canter to first run.
New Newmarket-based trainer, backed by a decade of experience with Group and Classic horses in Britain and Australia.
