Thunderous Sea is a big, strong and late-maturing bay gelding in training with Nigel Hawke. He is by leading sire Night Of Thunder out of the three-time winner Considered Opinion, a daughter of influential Australian sire Redoute’s Choice. He began his career with two National Hunt Flat runs at Hereford and Taunton during spring 2026. These early outings provided valuable racecourse experience and he remains at the beginning of his racing career. Following his Taunton run, Thunderous Sea underwent a wind operation and was given a short break. He has since returned to full training, with the longer-term plan being to progress from bumpers to hurdles and potentially chasing as he strengthens and matures.
